HUMANITARIAN NEWS!
There is an urgent need for Single Size quilts and Hygiene Kits. These are the current needs at the Humanitarian Center that would be most beneficial because of the recent hurricane needs worldwide. Let's continue to be generous to our brothers and sisters.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The Timpanogos Temple is closed Nov. 17 to Dec. 1.
- A Night of the Nativity Dec. 3rd, 7:00pm, Relief Society Enrichment. Join us for a nice program and refreshments.
- Festival of Trees needs volunteers (age 16 and older) to help in the "Kids Korner" during the week of December 3-6 (Wednesday-Saturday). There are three shifts each day: 9:45 am-2:15 pm, 1:45-6:15 pm, and 5:45-10:15 pm. It's fun to sign up as a group of 4 so you can work in one booth together. All money raised at Festival of Trees goes to help children in need of medical care at Primary Children's Medical Center. This would also be a great "Good Works" opportunity for the YW or YM. If you are able to help, please call Connie at 225-0494 to schedule a shift or talk to Jennifer Nelson for more details.
- The Lindon Home Storage Center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. They are working on a walk-in basis instead making appointments. This scheduling is specific to the Dry Pack side of the Welfare Services Center and is completely separate from the Wet Pack side. Both the Wet and Dry Pack Canneries work on family canning, however, when you work at the Dry Pack, it is all for personal food storage and not for the Church’s welfare system.
